“I used Kuretake’s Clean Color Real Brushes for this illustration. As someone who’s more used to painting, I found the medium interesting and challenging! Aside from the vibrant yellow, which isn’t a color I often go for, the color scheme ended up similar to what I usually work with.

Mermaids have been a common subject in my artworks over the years, but this time I wanted to do something a little bit different with this character standing between two worlds, disguised against a backdrop of their true nature.”
